Psychology is the scientific study of behavior including cognitive, emotional, and physiological processes. Research in psychology leads to a better understanding of ourselves and others. We can apply this understanding to help enhance people’s lives in schools, workplaces, homes, and society. A few of the many subfields within psychology include developmental, social, experimental, clinical, counseling, and neuropsychology.
