Transport Processes in Wells and Pipelines

3.0 cr; Prereq-3111, 3112 or Grad student or #; A-F or Aud, fall, spring, offered periodically) Exposes students to various elements of fluid and heat flows that occur in oil/gas wells and pipelines. The fundamentals of multiphase flow are explained in terms of single-phase flow mechanics and configuration of the phases. Simplicity in modeling approach is retained. Field examples are used to reinforce understanding of the models.

- For those of you wanting to apply to the Master of Engineering degree program, the MEng program is on the December Minnesota Board of Regents consent agenda. Application forms will be available early January 2010. You will be able to transfer graduate-level courses to this degree program
