B.S. in Criminal Justice (Bemidji State University) *NEW PROGRAM*

The bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice is a generalist degree preparing students for careers in law enforcement, corrections, and other public and private agencies concerned with the prevention and investigation of crime. This preparation includes a combination of course work, internships, and special research projects. Students considering this major are encouraged to develop a proficiency in writing. The degree is also appropriate for students who choose to pursue advanced study in criminal justice or law.
Completion of the Criminal Justice degree at Bemidji State University satisfies the Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (POST) academic requirements. Read More...

The unified early childhood studies program and licensures
include interdisciplinary curricula that prepare students for work in a variety
of settings with children of diverse ability levels, from birth through age
eight.
Graduates find employment in public schools, community and private preschool
programs, early primary grades in elementary schools, programs for children
ages birth through six with identified disabilities or delays, home- and
center-based child care, Head Start programs, and hospital-based settings.
All students complete a common core of courses in child development,
parent-child relations, early childhood curriculum and programming, early
childhood special education, community resources, and educational leadership
and program administration.
The unified early childhood studies major leads to Minnesota licensure in early
childhood education (birth through grade three) and early childhood special

Bemidji State University is excited to be offering the Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Engineering. The B.A.S. program will provide you with the training to prepare you for careers like Manufacturing Engineer, Process Control Engineer, Quality Engineer, and Product Developer.
The program was designed in a "2+2" format, which means students can apply their two-year technical degree toward a four-year degree. Using your technical degree as a springboard, the B.A.S. program will complete your training with upper division applied engineering concepts and applications, with special emphasis on materials, processes, and design.

The Business Administration curriculum prepares students for entry into the business world or for graduate study, and offers them a liberal education that will contribute to their intellectual, personal, and ethical growth. The Business Administration program offers study in finance, management, marketing, small business, computer information systems, and general business. This program provides students with a firm grounding in the methods, history, and content areas of the discipline. Graduates are prepared for graduate study leading to advanced degrees in psychology or for paraprofessional positions requiring some application of research or human service delivery skills. Successful managers are able to think strategically, communicate effectively and apply creative solutions to complex business problems. St. Scholastica’s Management major helps students develop these characteristics through a program that integrates management principles within a broad liberal arts education. Core studies include: human resource management, communication, strategic planning, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, and ethics. Students can apply theoretical lessons in the practical world by undertaking an applied internship with local or regional businesses and service organizations. The College of St. Scholastica RN to BA Completion Program assists registered nurses to attain a baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing.
The requirements of the completion program include general education courses, a statistics course, major nursing courses, and electives. If you have an Associate of Arts degree or have met the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, many of your general education requirements are satisfied. The Accelerated Degree Evening Program (ADEP) offers nursing and general education courses two nights per week.
The Baccalaureate program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Read more …

The M.Ed. is a professional development degree for teachers, and professionals with leadership or training roles in health sciences, social services, community education, and business or industry. The minimum 30-credit program consists of a core curriculum, electives or a selected concentration, and a final project under the direction of a faculty advisor. Core courses and some electives are delivered in a primarily online model, combining face–to–face weekend sessions at the beginning of each semester with teaching and learning in an online community. Some elective courses are traditional, on–campus courses. The program is delivered over two years for professionals who wish to earn the graduate degree while maintaining full–time employment. Students are admitted to an identified cohort and register in two years of core curriculum with the same cohort. The objective of the program is to provide competence in critical pedagogy and reflective practice. Read more
